The government has outlined a plan to increase the age limit for the government job seekers by 21 months in entering the state services from the current limit of 30 years.

Ministry of Public Administration has already sent a proposal to the Prime Minister’s Office seeking extension of age limit due to the prolonged academic life caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The proposal with 21 month age extension has already been sent to the Prime Minister, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday.

“We have taken several initiatives for people of different classes and professions to make up for the loss caused by corona. A new proposal for government job seekers has been sent to the prime minister,” he said.
