Dilara Hanif Rita popularly known as Purnima, is one of the popular film actresses of the country. She has won the hearts of millions by her fabulous acting style. The artiste has acted in many popular movies with various characters in her 23years career.
Her new film ‘Chironjib Mujib, based on the autobiography ‘Ausamapta Atmajiboni’ of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is all set for release.
Scripted by Jewel Mahmud and directed by Md Nazrul Islam, the full-length feature film has been dedicated to Bangabandhu’s daughters Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana.
The shooting of the film has already been completed and it will be released on September 28, sources said.
Purnima is very happy after working in the movie. She said, “To play Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib in the film ‘Chironjib Mujib’ a big achievement for me. I feel proud of my role in the movie. It was a challenge to me to play Bangamata’s role. I have tried my level best to portray myself according to the script.”
“I express my gratitude to the director and others who are related to the movie. I’m very excited to see my work in the movie on big screen. I hope the audience will also accept my work positively,” she added.
Besides Purnima, actors Ahmed Rubel, Khairul Alam Sabuj, SM Mohsin (late), Dilara Zaman, Azad Abul Kalam, Shatabdi Wadud, Somu Chowdhury, Arman Parvez Murad, Shahjahan Samrat, Selim Ahmed (late) and Jewel Mahmud will play important roles in the movie.
She won National Film Award in 2010 for Best Film Actress for her role in the film ‘Ora Amake Valo Hote Dilo Na’.
