Despite being vulnerable to natural calamities, poverty and corruption, Bangladesh is on the development highway and about to graduate from LDC, thanks to the farsightedness of the current government that has been running the office for more than a decade under the prudent leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. During this long journey, the country witnessed many odds and conspiracies, but nothing could stop the forward march of Bangladesh as the PM has faced all the challenges and conspiracies bravely and wisely. Even, the coronavirus pandemic has impacted less severely in our country in comparison to many other countries as the premier left no stone unturned to keep the economic wheel running and to balance between the lives and livelihoods of her beloved countrymen.
During the tough time of the pandemic, which prohibits all sorts of in-person interaction and close contact, our PM has been doing her official work online, motivating government officials and others to perform their respective duties in the same manner so that the economic loss and casualties could be under control. Since the spread of the coronavirus and the imposition of lockdown in March 2020, PM has, reportedly, attended over 1550 zoom meetings, including some international conferences, more than double in numbers than that of in the previous four years. Attending meetings with the head of the government has certainly provided the field-level officials and marginalised staff with much-needed inclusive feeling in crisis management and other nation-building activities.
