Price of green chilli increased to Tk 200 per kg while most of the vegetable prices were stable at the kitchen markets in the capital on Friday.
While visiting different markets in the capital, this correspondent found that price of broiler chicken has reduced to Tk 125-130 per kg while it was Tk 140-145 per kg a week earlier. The price of Sonali chicken was Tk 210-230 per kg, which was same in the previous week, and layer chicken was Tk 230-240 per kg.
Price of beef was Tk 580-600 per kg while mutton was Tk 800-950 per kg, which was same in the previous week. On the other hand, price of green chilli has increased to Tk 200 per kg while it was Tk 50-60 per kg a week earlier.
Amin, a vegetable trader at Mohammadpur Krishi Market, said most of the chilli crops have been destroyed due to rain and the price of the commodity has increased.
The price of carrot and tomato was high as like previous week. Those items were sold at Tk 80-110 per kg and Tk 100-120 per kg respectively on the day.
Ribbed gourd was Tk 40-50 per kg, bitter gourd was Tk 40-60 per kg and snake gourd was Tk 30-40 per kg, which was same in the previous week.
Price of okra was Tk 30-40 per kg, pointed gourd Tk 20-30 per kg, green papaya was Tk 25-30 per kg and Yardlong bean was Tk 50-60 per kg.
Pabda was Tk 450-600 per kg while Panghash was Tk 120-160 per kg, which was same in the previous week.
