Police hold Mohammedan

Bangladesh Police Football Club came from a goal down to pull back a point in a 1-1 draw against Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd in the 20th round match of the Bangladesh Premier League football match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital on Thursday.

Midfielder Jafar Iqbal put Mohammedan ahead in the 17th minute and they maintained the lead till the 85th minute of the match while Police forward Christian Kouakou levelled the scoreline in the 86th minute.

The victory gave 5th spot for Mohammedan with 33 points from 19 matches. Police remained at eighth spot with 19 points from 18 games.

Bashundhara Kings stayed at the top of the table with 52 points from 19 matches.

In the remaining 20th round match on Friday, Abahani will take on Sheikh Jamal DC at 4:00pm at the same venue.
