The government has changed the plan of week-long countrywide mass inoculation as the vaccination campaign may start from August 14, instead of August 7.

According to sources from Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the mass inoculation will be held across the country including in capital on August 7 as

test case. Earlier, the nationwide mass Covid-19 vaccination program, was scheduled for a week from Saturday.

The DGHS has changed its planned campaign, which was set to happen between August 7 and 12 due to the countrywide ongoing lockdown and shortage of necessary logistic support, the sources added.

Now the nationwide week-long mass vaccination campaign program is likely to resume from August 14.

The health directorate sources said first dose of vaccines will be administered in the week-long vaccination campaign in ward level of union parishads, municipalities, and city corporations.
