GOC 55 Infantry Division inspects army patrol in Jhenaidah

Major General Md Nurul Anwar, general officer commanding (GOC) 55th Infantry Division and Area Commander Jashore Area, on Monday inspected the patrol activities of army members at Payra Chattar in Jhenaidah and exchanged views with field administration officials.

During the visit, he exchanged greetings with the army personnel engaged in patrol activities and thanked the frontline members for implementing the lockdown during the Coronation.

Nationwide army has been deployed since July 1 to assist the civilian administration and law enforcement agencies in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

In this context, members of the 55th Infantry Division are conducting regular patrols in Jhenaidah district.

Bangladesh Army is distributing food items among the families affected by the Corona epidemic and providing medical treatment by setting up temporary medical camps in different areas.

Brigadier General Mohammad Monowar Hossain Khan, commander of 88th Infantry Brigade, Lt Col Mohammad Morshedul Hasan, commander of 2 E Bengal, Mohammad Mujibur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Jhenaidah, Muntasirul Islam, Superintendent of Police Jhenaidah, and other senior officials of the administration were also present.
