Online form fill-up for HSC exams to begin on Aug 12

The process of form fill-up for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations-2021 will begin on August 12 and it will continue until August 25.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka on Saturday issued a circular in this regard, asking HSC candidates to complete the form fill-up process online.

It also said, “The examinees or guardians will not have to go to the colleges for form fill-up. They will be able to complete the process of form fill-up and pay fees online staying at their respective homes due to the coronavirus situation.”

A list of possible examinees will be published on the website of Dhaka Education Board on August 11. Institutions will have to complete selecting examinees online by August 25 while the examinees have to pay the exam fees by August 30.

The government fixed form fill-up fees Tk 1,160, for science group and Tk1,070 for business studies or humanities group for this year.

The circular also said the HSC candidates will not have to pay any fees for the test examinations as this year it will not be held due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier, on July 15, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni at a press briefing said SSC and HSC and equivalent exams of 2021 will be held in November and December, only if Covid-19 situation improves in the country.

SSC and equivalent exams will be held in the second week of November, while HSC and equivalent exams in the first week of December.

The exams will be taken on shortened syllabuses of three group-based elective subjects, she said, adding that for the rest of the subjects, the assessment will be done based on assignments.

She also said if the Covid-19 situation is not under control within this time, results of SSC, HSC will be prepared based on the previous academic results of the students and their assignment copies.
