Standard Bank approves 5pc dividend

Standard Bank Limited approved 2.5 percent stock and 2.5 percent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year 2020.

The approval came at the 22nd annual general meeting of the bank held through digital platform on Thursday, said a press release.

Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Directors presided over the meeting.

Vice-Chairman Ashok Kumar Saha, directors Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, Ferozur Rahman, Md Monzur Alam, SAM Hossain, Mohammed Abdul Aziz, Mohammed Shamsul Alam, Gulzar Ahmed, Md Zahedul Hoque, Mohd Yousuf Chowdhury, Ferdous Ali Khan, Kazi Khurram Ahmed, Md Abul Hossain and Najmul Huq Chaudhury, Managing Director and CEO Khondoker Rashed Maqsood, Additional Managing Director Md Touhidul Alam Khan, Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Rafiqul Islam were present on the occasion.

A large number of shareholders and partner of external auditor of the bank M/s Shafiq Basak & Co. Shafiqul Islam, Independent Scrutinizer Iqbal Hossain were joined in the meeting on virtual platform.

Acting Company Secretary Md Ali Reza conducted the AGM.

Chairman Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed briefly presented the business indicators of the bank and Directors’ Report for the year 2020 before the shareholders.

Mentionable that the shareholders present in the AGM duly approved all agenda including 2.5 percent stock and 2.5 percent cash dividend for the year 2020.
