MP’s wife escapes unhurt in car accident

The wife of Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, Member of Parliament (MP) from Bhola-4 constituency, narrowly escaped injury after a private car carrying her crashed into a road divider at Banani in the capital on Saturday.

Nure Azam Mia, officer-in-charge (OC) of Banani Police Station, told the correspondent that a driver of the lawmaker was driving the car, which is carrying his (MP) wife.     

When the car reached near Banani Super Market around 5:00pm, the driver lost control over the steering, resulting in the accident. Later, the driver could manage to make the car normal and left the scene.

MP’s wife and driver escaped unhurt from the accident, he said. The OC said both the MP’s wife and the driver fortunately escaped from a big accident.
