5 BCL leaders expelled in Naogaon

NAOGAON: Five local leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were expelled in the district on Thursday for breaching the party discipline.

Expelled leaders are the district BCL vice-president Shital Khan, Sadar upazila BCL joint secretaries Masudur Rahman Arman, and Huzaifa Tanvir, deputy-publicity secretary Abdul Sifat Sadique, and environment affairs secretary Fazle Rabbi.

Of them, Shital Khan was expelled for being involved in a murder while rest others for beating a BCL activist.

The expulsion order was signed by the BCL central president Al-Nahian Khan Joy and general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee.

However, the BCL took the decision to cast out them from the party citing that they breached the party discipline, according to a press release sent by the BCL.
