Age limit to get vaccine lowered to 25 yrs

The government has decided to lower the age limit for Covid-19 vaccine seekers to 25 years.

Health ministry sources said the country’s people aged 25 years and above can now register online using the ‘Surokkha’ app to receive the vaccine.

Earlier on July 19, the government had cut the age limit short from 35 to 30 for vaccine registration.

To make the vaccination process easier for rural people, the government has decided to inoculate people at union parishad level with their National Identity (NID) cards from August 7.

The health ministry sources said the family members of frontline fighters aged 18 years and above also can take the coronavirus vaccine.

Health and family welfare Minister Zahid Malik recently said the government has arranged for 21 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines to control coronavirus situation in the country.

He also said 80% of people in the country will get vaccines after all the 21 crore doses arrive.
