BRAHMANBARIA: A man died while waiting in line to provide sample for corona test at Brahmanbaria General Hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Iqbal Hossain, 42, son of Shahidul Islam of Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila. He was the imam of a mosque in Kharampur village, of Akhaura upazila, reports our correspondent quoting the hospital’s emergency department duty doctor, Solaiman Mia.

While waiting in line—in front of the Bangladesh Medical Association building on the hospital grounds—to give sample for a corona test, Iqbal collapsed around 8:30am. Soon after, he was rushed to the hospital’s emergency department, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Solaiman Mia, duty doctor of the hospital, said “The man has been standing in the long queue to provide his samples for corona test but he suddenly collapsed and died.”
