United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Bangladesh Scouts have joined hands to carry out a Covid-19 awareness campaign at the major cattle markets in the country.

The two-day campaign was launched on Monday, keeping the rush of buyers in mind.

Under the campaign, Rover Scouts dressed in PPE will distribute masks among the buyers flocking to the markets on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.

The campaign will be carried out at Gabtoli, Aftabnagar and Dhupkhola cattle markets in Dhaka and two major markets of every division, said a press release.

Covid-19 precautionary messages will be broadcasted from the booths set up at the markets by using loudhailers.
