Eighty-one more dengue patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total 80 new patients were hospitalised in the capital while one outside the city.A total of 331 patients diagnosed with dengue are now receiving treatment at 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while five outside the city, it said.
However, two deaths caused by dengue have been reported in hospitals, the DGHS added.
The unofficial sources from different hospitals said at least three people, who were infected with dengue, died in the capital in the current year.
A total of 1,139 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country including in Dhaka city since January until July 17 this year.
