Late BNP leader Hannan Shah’s wife dies

Syeda Farrukh Sultana, wife of late BNP standing committee member and former minister Brigadier General (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, passed away at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Friday. She was 73.

She was admitted to CMH on July 8 after falling ill due to high blood pressure. Later, on July 10, she was put on life support in the CCU unit of the hospital.

She left behind her two sons, a daughter, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.

She was buried at her family graveyard at Ghaghatia village in Kapasia upazila of Gazipur following his two namaz-e-janazas at Mohakhali DOHS and Ghaghatia respectively.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other senior leaders of the party expressed deep shock at the death of Syeda Farrukh Sultana.
