Biman Bangladesh Airlines has operated five domestic flights on Thursday following the government’s decision of relaxing the strict restrictions.

According to sources at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Novoair has operated 2 flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, 1 flight from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, 3 flights from Dhaka to Syedpur, 2 flights from Dhaka to Barishal and 1 flight from Dhaka to Rajshahi.

US Bangla Airlines has driven 3 flights from Dhaka to Syedpur, 2 from Dhaka to Jashore, 1 from Dhaka to Rajshahi, 2 from Dhaka to Chattogram, 2 from Dhaka to Sylhet, and 1 from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar and Barishal.

According to Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB)’s instructions, the aircrafts were being disinfected with sanitiser before the boarding of passengers.

Passengers of the national flag carrier were made bound to wear masks.

Due to the strict restrictions imposed by the government from July 1, CAAB had imposed a ban on domestic flights.

However, in the face of protests from passengers of international flights, it allowed airliners to resume limited number of flights from July 2.
