Bashundhara Group distributes relief at ICCB

Bashundhara Group, the largest business conglomerate in the country, has distributed relief materials among 500 impoverished families who have been badly affected by the impact of the lockdown imposed to contain the ongoing spread of the coronavirus.

On behalf of Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Chief Operating Officer MM Jasim Uddin handed over the items to the poverty-stricken people at ICCB in the capital on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, MM Jasim Uddin said Bashundhara Group has been providing relief among the poor throughout the country since the coronavirus pandemic began.

“We’re giving the relief as Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan is very kind to the helpless. May Allah accept his noble intention. We’ll continue the social activities in every corner of the country,” he said, adding that needy people will get benefits from Bashundhara Group in the coming days.

Officials said that Bashundhara Group has already handed out 24,000 packages of relief all over the country and another 100,000 ones will be distributed soon.
