The ongoing season of the Bangladesh Premier League resumes today after the 11-day lockdown break with a match between Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited and Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital at 4:00pm.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited will meet Saif Sporting Club on Thursday at the same venue at 4:00pm. According to the new schedule which was announced on Tuesday, the matches will be held at two venues -- BNS and Fortis Sports Ground.Earlier the second phase of BPL was resumed on June 26 after a 45-day layoff. The league was initially expected to be held at four centralised venues in Dhaka during the lockdown, but Bangladesh Football Federation failed to confirm three other venues except for BNS. However, after six matches, BFF again halted the league on July 2 due to the hostile weather, rain and muddy ground at the BNS.
The federation also resumed the ongoing season of the Bangladesh Championship League on Tuesday.
