Domestic flights to resume from July 15

Domestic flights will start operation from July 15 to July 23 as the government has decided to lift the ongoing hard lockdown for nine days ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has given permission to operate flights on Tuesday.

Two private airlines including US-Bangla Airlines and Novo Air will operate domestic flights from July 15.

Novo Air will operate 6 daily flights each from Dhaka to Chattogram, Syedpur, and Jashore, 4 from Dhaka to Barisal, 3 from Dhaka to Sylhet, 3 from Dhaka to Rajshahi and 2 from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar from July 15 to July 22 in compliance with health guidelines.

US-Bangla Airlines have decided to operate 5 daily flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, 2 from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, 7 from Dhaka to Syedpur, 6 from Dhaka to Jashore and 4 from Dhaka to Sylhet, Barisal and Rajshahi.

However, the state-owned Biman Bangladesh Airlines has not made any decision yet in this regard.

Earlier, domestic flights were restricted, only passengers of international routes could board the flights.
