20th convocation of EWU held

The 20th convocation of East West University (EWU) was held virtually on Monday.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni conferred degrees among graduates at the event.

A total of 1551 students from undergraduate and graduate programs received certificates. Besides, two graduates were awarded the prestigious gold medal for their excellent academic performance.

Secretary of Education Ministry Md Mahbub Hossain took part at the convocation as the special guest while Member of Bangladesh University Grants Commission Prof Dr Biswajit Chanda was the convocation speaker.

Chairperson of Board of Trustees of EWU Syed Manzur Elahi, Chief Advisor of EWU Prof Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, and Vice-Chancellor of EWU Prof Dr MM Shahidul Hassan also delivered their speech on the occasion.

In her speech, the education minister said education system has to be upgraded according to the changing demands of the world.

Members of the BoT, pro-vice chancellor, treasurer, deans, departmental chairpersons, faculty members, officers, staff, graduates and their guardians attended the convocation.
