DNCC imposes fines for breaching corona restrictions

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Monday operated mobile courts in different spots under its jurisdiction and fined over Taka 20,600 in 35 cases for breaching ‘strict restrictions’ imposed from July 1 to stem the spread of coronavirus.

DNCC Executive Magistrate Md Zulkar Nayan conducted a mobile court in Zone-1 area and fined Taka 400 in 3 cases while Executive Magistrate Mohammad Abdul Hamid Miah fined Taka 15,000 in 15 cases in Zone 3, Executive Magistrate Sajia Afrin fined Taka 2,200 in 11 cases and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Ashraful Alam fined Taka 3,000 in six cases in Zone-6, said a press release, reports BSS.

While operating the mobile courts, the officials also conducted public awareness campaign using loudspeakers and suggested following the health guidelines properly along with abiding by the COVID-19 restrictions.
