Bashundhara Group stands by orphans

Students of Akbaria Jannatbagh Hafizia Nurani Atimkhana Madrasa offer a prayer on the premises of the madrasa-cum-orphanage at Kishoreganj upazila in Nilphamari on Sunday, seeking the welfare of Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan. — SUN PHOTO

Bashundhara Group, a leading business conglomerate of the country, distributed relief materials among students at a madrasa-cum-orphanage at Kishoreganj upazila in Nilphamari on Sunday. 

Kaler Kantho, a reputed Bengali national daily of Bashundhara Group, provided relief for the orphans through its social organisation Shuvasangha.

After receiving relief materials, students of Akbaria Jannatbagh Hafizia Nurani Madrasa prayed for welfare of Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.  

Kishoreganj upazila parishad chairman Abul Kalam Bari Pilot Shah, Shuvasangha director Zakaria Jaman, general secretary Shamim Al Mamun, member Sharif Mahadi Ashraf Jibon, Nilphamari district president of the organisation Prof Anwar Hossain, Kaler Kantho district correspondent Bhuban Roy Nikhil, the orphanage managing committee president Shamsul Huq Sarkar, general secretary Rafikul Islam and madrasa lecturer Jahangir Alam were present on the occasion.
