Former AL MP’s wife passes away

Nurun Nahar Begum, wife of former presidium member of Awami League (AL) and ex-MP valiant freedom fighter late Principal Kamruzzaman, died at her residence in the city on Friday, reports BSS.

Nurun Nahar, also mother of AL’s central committee member Parveen Zaman, died at the age of 82 due to old age complications, said a press release. 

She left behind two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed profound shock at the death of Nurun Nahar.

In a condolence message, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and extended her sympathy to the bereaved family.

Besides, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed deep shock at her death.
