Kings look to continue winning run

Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings will take on Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd in their 17th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital today.

The match kicks off at 04:30pm.

Kings beat Rahamatganj Muslim Friends Society by 2-1 goals in their last match on Saturday as they are currently leading the points table with 46 points from 15 wins and a draw.

The win also helped the league leaders to maintain their unbeaten for 21-match, including 5 Federation Cup matches and in the ongoing BPL season.

On the other hand, Mohammedan climbed up to the fourth spot on the points table after playing a crucial 1-1 draw against archrivals Abahani Ltd Dhaka in the season’s third Dhaka derby on Sunday.

The traditional black and white earned 29 points from 8 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats.

The day’s second match will take place at the same venue between Bangladesh Police Football Club and Brothers Union at 06:45pm.

Police are eighth with 16 points 4 wins, 4 draws and 7 defeats while Brothers are 12th with 5 points from one win, 2 draws and 13 defeats.
