International Centre for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) Diagnostic Laboratories will now take samples to test for different types of diseases in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.

The diagnostic lab which is located at 754/B Satmasjid Road in Dhanmondi was launched on Tuesday. However, the facility will start its operation today.

It will remain open from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm every day throughout the year, said a press release.

With its six world-class automated labs in Mohakhali, icddr,b Diagnostic Laboratories offers more than 600 tests and test combinations, ranging from routine screening tests to sophisticated molecular and genetic assays. However, individuals willing to test for Covid-19 will have to visit its Mohakhali centre.

The icddr,b Diagnostic Laboratories is the first ISO15189 (Quality) and ISO15190 (Safety) accredited laboratory in Bangladesh.
