Bashundhara Group stands by the poor

Bashundhara Group, a leading business conglomerate of the country, distributed relief items among helpless people in Lalmonirhat for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday.   

Kaler Kantho, a reputed Bengali national daily of Bashundhara Group, provided relief for the poor through its social organisation ‘Shuvasangha’ at Hatibandha in the district. 

Around 500 destitute people, including women and the elderly, received relief items in Patikapara area and SS Government High School. 

Poverty coupled with unemployment amid corona lockdown spells disaster for working class of people in many parts of the country. The situation has prompted Shuvasangha to distribute relief items among the destitute.

As part of its effort, the organisation appeared in Patikapara area in the morning and SS Government High School at noon with relief items.     

Hatibandha Upazila Parishad Chairman Mashiur Rahman Mamun, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Samiul Amin, AC Land Samima Sultana, OC (investigation) Rafiqul Islam, Shuvasangha Director Zakaria Jaman, Patikapara Union Parishad Chairman Mujibul Alam Sadat, Amra Muktijoddhar Sontan Sangsad Command Convenor Rakanuzzaman Sohel, senior journalist Altaf Hossain, Shuvasangha’s Patikapara unit President Faizunnesa Mona, General Secretary Rakibul Hasan and Organising Secretary Saiful were also present on the occasion.
