The National Board of Revenue (NBR) and account offices of all ministries will remain open during the seven days countrywide ‘strict lockdown’ for completing the tasks for June closing activities.

The week-long lockdown starts from tomorrow (Monday).  “Some offices will remain open in limited scale to serve the tasks for fiscal year closing.  Account section, NBR and some ministry will also keep activities for emergency services,” State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told the press on Saturday. He also mentioned that the week-long strict lockdown will be implemented to tackle the infection rate.

In the wake of massive surge of the coronavirus, the government announced a week-long strict lockdown across the country.

During the lockdown, all government and private offices except emergency services will remain closed.
