CHATTOGRAM: A total of 36 shops were gutted in a fire in the city’s Bakolia area on Monday.

Sources in the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) department said the fire broke out from electric short-circuit at a fruit shop in the Bakolia area adjacent to Shah Amanat Bridge around 7:00am.
