Withdraw transport, residential fees

DU BCL asks authorities

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Dhaka University (DU) unit staged a demonstration on the campus on Monday to press five-point demand, including withdrawal of illogical fees of hall and transport.

They held the protest rally at Raju Memorial Sculpture on the campus.

Their other demands include: Covid-19 vaccine for all students, assurance of drug-free campus, formulation of roadmap for implementation of university master plan to alleviate residential crisis and modernisation of DU Medical Centre.

BCL DU unit President Sonjit Chandra Das presided over the rally while its general secretary Saddam Hossain conducted the programme.

BCL leaders said the students are facing various mental problems due to the closure of educational institutions for a long time.

They requested the university authorities to reopen the institution by     ensuring vaccination for all students immediately.
