Mehjabeen’s husband put on remand

A Dhaka on Monday granted a three-day remand for Shafiqul Islam, husband of Mehjabeen Islam Moon who arrested on charges of killing her parents and sister in Kadamtali area.

Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order after Inspector Zakir Hossain, also investigation officer of the case, produced him seeking a seven-day remand for interrogation.

Earlier on Sunday, Mehjabeen Islam Moon was also placed on a four-day remand in the case filed with Kadamtali Police Station.

On Saturday morning, police recovered the bodies of Moon’s parents -- Masud Rana, 50, and Mousumy Islam, 40, -- and younger sister Jannatul, 20, from their residence at Muradpur in Jurain under Kadamtali in the capital.
