IHL to introduce nursing college

CHATTOGRAM: Imperial Hospital Limited (IHL) is going to introduce Chattogram Imperial College of Nursing with all the facilities by this year.

IHL Founding Chairman Dr Rabiul Hussain announced this at a press conference held at the hospital auditorium in the city’s Pahartali area on Sunday.

He said that they took necessary permissions, assigned teachers and ensured residential facilities for the nurses before starting the college.

Besides, they are also establishing a trauma centre at the hospital to provide combined treatments including general surgery, neuro surgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery and maxillofacial surgery to the concerned patients.

This trauma centre will ensure all the treatments which are available in developed world for the critical patients, said the chairman. The hospital management also has the plan to set up ‘Preventive and Family Health Care Centre’ for different health related programmes, he said adding that they will also establish training centre for medical technologists to operate medical device properly.
