Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) has cut gold price by Tk 1516 per bhori to Tk 71,967 considering the international market price.
The silver price is remained unchanged.The new tariff adjustment of gold price effective from Sunday, said a BAJUS release.
On May 23, BAJUS fixed the price of gold at Tk 73,483 per bhori by increasing Tk 2,041. On August, 2020, the price of gold in the country was Tk 77,216 per bhori, the highest price ever.
As the new price, high quality 22 carat gold was sold at Tk 71,967 a bhori instead of Tk 73,483 a bhori, 21 carat gold at Tk 68,818 instead of Tk 70,333 and 18 carat gold at Tk 60,070 instead of Tk 61,585.
The traditional (sanatan) category of gold will be sold at Tk 49,748 a bhori instead of Tk 51,263 a bhori.
