Bangladeshi physician Prof Dr Mohammad Azizur Rahman has been honoured globally as two leading medical institutes in South Asia recently appointed him as visiting faculty.
Indian institute, Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH), Chennai offered Dr Aziz as visiting professor while Pakistan’s University of Health Sciences (UHS) at Lahore honoured the renowned pulmonologist as an adjunct faculty.UHS Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Javed Akram said Dr Aziz is a highly qualified pulmonologist and he has been appointed as a Adjunct Professor of Medicine in recognition to contribution to medical sciences.
Besides, SBMCH Dean Prof WMS Johnson also appreciated Dr Aziz for his contribution in respiratory medicine.
“Recently, Prof Aziz, pulmonologist from Bangladesh was honoured by having him as a visiting Faculty. The College looks forward to gain from his vast experience in handling post-covid complications,” said Dr WMS Johnson through an email on Sunday.
Dr Johnson, who serves the college from its early stages and under the guidance of Medical Director Dr DR Gunasekaran, is determined to take it to further heights.
Prof Aziz serves respiratory medicine and medicine under faculty of medicine at Dhaka University.
He is an international member in editorial board of Lung India, official publication of Indian Chest Society (ICS) and Associate Editor in Pakistan Journal of Chest Medicine(PJCM), official publication of Pakistan Chest Society(PCS).
