Bangladesh recurve archers will start their campaign in World Cup stage three in Paris, France today with keeping their eyes on quota places for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Bangladesh men’s recurve team comprising Ruman Shana, Ram Krishna Shaha, Hakim Ahmed Rubel, Abdur Rahman Alif will compete in the team’s events on the same day. Bangladesh women’s recurve team comprising Diya Siddiqui, Nasrin Akter, Beauty Roy and Mahanaz Akter Monera will compete in the team’s events on Sunday while the single’s events will take place on Monday.
The 11-member Bangladesh archery team, including eight archers and three officials, reached Paris on Thursday and they took part in a training session on Friday.
Bangladesh’s premier archer Ruman Shana has already qualified for Olympics in the recurve men's singles but the archery federation is eyeing to get more quota places from the event.
