Fardin gets ‘Covid-19 Hero award’

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque hands over the ‘Covid-19 Hero award’ to Masum Billal Fardin.

Singer-actor Masum Billal Fardin has got the ‘Covid-19 Hero Award 2021’ for his contribution in social service during the lockdown. Organised by United Movement For Human Rights, the award ceremony was held at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on Thursday.    

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque was present at the award ceremony as the chief guest. Additional Secretary of Finance Ministry Pirzada Shahidul Harun attended at the programme as special guest.

Fardin also got the ‘Certificate of Commitment’ from the World Book of Records- London for promoting safety against Covid- 19 and social service.

Fardin got popular with the song ‘Sukheri Porosh’ in 2019. Then his songs ‘Tomari Ashatey’ and ‘Priya Re O Priya’ were released on the Indian TV channels Sangeet Bangla and Tara Music respectively. Alongside singing, Fardin has acted in several dramas and telefilms. He is also known for his social activities.
