Bangladesh Television (BTV) is set to air fourty special programmes on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. The five-day special programmes include dramas, telefilms, films, magazine shows, and others. There will also be shows on music, cooking and social issues.
A special programme on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Eid celebration titled ‘Bangabandhur Eid’ will be telecasted. The channel will also air magazine shows Anandamela and Britter Baire, special programmes ‘Briddasrome Eid’, ‘Pothe Prantore Eid’, ‘Probashider Eid’ and celebrity talk show ‘Eid Adda’.
BTV will air five single-episode dramas ‘Bakuler Ayna’, ‘Charitrik Sanad’, ‘Biyer Koyekdin Agee’, ‘Hamba Dot Com’, and ‘Akash Bhabna’. The plays have been written by prominent writers Pantha Shahriar, Brindaban Das, Imdadul Haq Milan, Mir Sabbir and Badrul Anam Saud respectively.
There will also a special documentary programme about the significance of Eid-ul-Azha, preserving animal leather, and animal waste removal.
About Eid-ul-Azha specials, BTV’s Deputy Director (Programme) Tasnima Ahmed said, “We aim to entertain our audience through our Eid special progammes. Besides, entertaining shows, there will also be social awareness programmes. Five star-studded dramas will also be aired, produced by BTV. I hope all types of the audience will enjoy the shows.”
