Bangladesh national football team returned home on Thursday morning from Qatar after completing their campaign of the joint qualifiers round two for FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023.
The national booters landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International airport at 04:00am, informed Bangladesh Football Federation.
All the players will now complete a three-day mandatory quarantine upon their arrival from Doha. After that, they will start preparation to play the Bangladesh Premier League football which begins from next week.
The booters held Afghanistan 1-1 before losing to India and Oman by 0-2 and 0-3 respectively in the last two matches in their Qatar tour.
Bangladesh, however, will play in the third round of Asian Cup Qualifiers despite finishing at the bottom of Group E with only two points.
