North South University (NSU) on Thursday inaugurated its Campus Radio, TV (NSUCRT) and Digital Lab on the university premises in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest on the occasion while Vice-Chancellor of NSU Professor Atiqul Islam presided over the session.
Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of NSU and former president of FBCCI MA Kashem was present as the special guest while NSU’s BoT members Benajir Ahmed, Yasmin Kamal and Tanveer Harun, were present as the guests of honor.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said, “NSU is one of the private universities in the country which is imparting quality education to our students. Before the establishment of NSU, our students had to go to different countries of the world for study.”
He expected that NSU will not only provide world-class education but also work to make world-class citizens.
“At present, students from many neighboring countries are coming and studying here,” he said.
Pro-VC of NSU Dr M Ismail Hossain, Dean, School of Business and Economics Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Dean, School of Engineering and Physical Sciences Prof Dr Javed Bari, Dean, School of Health and Life Sciences Prof Dr Hasan Mahmud Reza, Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof Dr Abdur Rob Khan, directors, department heads, faculties, officials, students and media personalities were also present at the event.
