The 3rd Bangladesh Short and Documentary Film Festival will begin tomorrow. Organised by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the 8-day film festival will continue till 25 June, said a press release.
Sate Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid will inaugurate the festival virtually on Friday evening as the chief guest. Cultural Affairs Ministry Secretary Md. Badrul Arefin, film critic Anupam Hayat, film maker Amitabh Reza Chowdhury will also attend the programme as special guests with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky in the chair.BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky and Director of Drama and Film Department of the academy, Afsana Karim spoke about the details of the event at a virtual press conference on Wednesday.
A total of 119 films (81 short films and 38 documentaries) will be screened at the festival.
