Police recovered the bodies of three people from Vatara and Savar on Friday.

In Vatara, a housewife was hacked to death allegedly by her husband over a family feud.

Police recovered the body of Zobeda Khatun, 28, wife of Abul Quashem, from her house at Solmaid Purbapara.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.

Quoting neighbours, police said Quashem hit Zobeda on her head with an axe in the morning, leaving her dead on the spot.

On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body, said Bhatara Police Station’s officer-in-charge (OC) Md Moktaruzzaman.

Meanwhile, police recovered the bodies of two youths -- Raihan, 17, and Nazmul, 18 --from a jute field at Haruliar Chak in Bhartuka union under Savar.

The youths, who were maternal cousin, were stabbed to death, said police.

Raihan lived at a rented house in Jadurchar area of Hemayetpur, Savar while Nazmul came to visit him from Barishal, said Additional Superintendent of Dhaka district police Abdullahil Kafi.

Local farmers spotted the bodies at the field and informed the police.

Savar police later recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue.

A knife used in the killings was also seized from the spot.
