Walton donates Tk 30m to PM’s funds

Walton Hi-Tech Industries managing director Engineer Golam Murshed hands over a cheque for Tk 3 crore to PM’s Principal Secretary Ahmad Kaikaus as donation to Coronavirus Assistance Fund and House Construction Fund by Private Finance at PM's Office on Thursday. Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina attended the function virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban.

Walton has donated Tk 30 million (Tk 3 crore) to the Prime Minister’s Coronavirus Assistance Fund and House Construction Fund by Private Finance to support the ongoing battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

Last year, the company had contributed the same amount to financial assistance to help the government for combating the outbreak of corona pandemic, said a press release.

Engineer Golam Murshed, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited handed over the cheque to Ahmad Kaikaus, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, at PM's Office in the capital on Thursday.

Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina attended the function virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban.

Among others, Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited Deputy Managing Director Liakat Ali and Walton’s Executive Director Jahidul Islam were also present.
