ICSB for providing adequate budget

Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has urged commerce secretary to provide adequate budget and other facilities to develop the institute.

Council members of the institute led by its President Muzaffar Ahmed also emphasised on the inclusion of chartered secretaries as Income Tax Practitioner (ITP).

They made the request at a view-exchange meeting with Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh at his office in the capital on Thursday.

ICSB President introduced the council members to the secretary and apprised him about the various activities that ICSB undertook for professional development of its members as well as its future plans, said a press release.

The commerce secretary appreciated the role of ICSB towards the development as well as promoting the chartered secretaries profession in the country.

He also assured of the continuous support from the ministry.

The council members thanked the commerce secretary for giving his valuable time and hoped that his continued support and guidance will help the institute to move forward to achieve its objectives.

ICSB Vice President Md Selim Reza, Council Member Mohammad Nurul Alam, Council Member Md Sharif Hasan, Council Member Md Shafiqul Alam, and Secretary (Acting) Md Shamibur Rahman were present during the meeting.
