‘NMST needs to be upgraded’

The National Museum of Science and Technology (NMST) has started construction work of two new gates with modern architectural design under its current development programme.

The existing gates of the organisation have become obsolete which are 34 year’s old, said a press release.

In a foundation stone-laying ceremony on Tuesday, NMST director general Muhammad Munir Chowdhury said, “NMST needs to be upgraded with international standard. Every development plan must have sustainability with long-term socio-economic and technological impact.”

“All the employees of the organisation should be patriotic and dedicated for the sake of ensuring good governance and upholding the image of the country,” he said.

A total of Tk 2 cores will be spent on constructing of the two new gates, which will be implemented by Narayanganj Dockyard under the supervision of Bangladesh Navy.
