Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has taken all measures necessary to administer treatment to Covid-19 patients with mucormycosis or black fungus, a hard-to-treat fungal infection.

“All arrangements have been made to provide treatment to patients with mucormycosis,” said Vice Chancellor of the BSMMU Prof Dr Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed.

He came up with the information while speaking at a symposium arranged by Bangladesh Oculoplastic Surgeon's Society (BOSS) at Milton Hall of the university on Sunday.
