Walton to export compressor components to Europe

Bangladeshi electronics brand Walton has inked a long-term business agreement with German-based global renowned compressor manufacturer Secop-GmbH to export locally-produced compressor components.

In this regard an agreement was signed between Walton and Secop at a programme, organised on an online platform, at Walton Corporate Office in the capital on Thursday, siad a press release.

Walton’s International Business Unit (IBU) President Edward Kim and Secop’s Procurement Director Gerald Kober inked the business agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Virtually, Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited Director Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, Bangladesh’s Ambassador in Austria Muhammad Abdul Muhith, Walton Compressor Chief Executive Officer Rabiul Alam and Walton’s Deputy Executive Director Rezaul Islam Minar were present.   

Walton’s Executive Director SM Zahid Hasan, Compressor’s Chief Operating Officer Nasir Uddin Mondal, Deputy Executive Director Abdur Rouf, Senior Deputy Director Arifin Nadvi, among others, also attended the programme.

Welcoming the business agreement between Walton and Secop, Walton Hi-Tech’s Director Nishat Tasnim Shuchi hoped that it would be a very fruitful and long-term business journey for both of us.

Secop’s Procurement Director Gerald Kober said, “Today, we set out a business collaboration with Walton. Initially, we are taking compressor’s metal casting parts from Walton. We will find out the scope of taking other sorts of compressor components from Walton. We are confident in a long-term potential business collaboration with Walton in future.

Bangladesh’s Ambassador in Austria Muhammad Abdul Muhith said, now domestic industries are manufacturing fridge, television, air conditioner, compressors like hi-tech electronics goods and components. Today as a Bangladeshi, I am very proud knowing it that the Bangladeshi renowned brand Walton is exporting locally made hi-tech in the world’s developed countries like Austria.

Walton set a clear vision titled ‘Go Global 2030’ this year with all the Walton family and this year 2021 will be the first year for our aggressive journey into the world.

Walton Compressor’s CEO Rabiul Alam said, “Walton has been manufacturing and marketing the world's most 'silent and durable' compressor and the necessary components.”

Mentionable, Bangladesh is the 8th compressor producing country in Asia and 15th in the world. Country’s only compressor manufacturing industry was set up on 16 lakh square feet areas of land at Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited in Chandra, Gazipur.

Meanwhile, Walton is ensuring extreme-level quality in manufacturing its products as the electronics giant is aiming to become one of the top global brands soon. The sales of all types of Walton products are constantly increasing because the quality has strictly been maintained which is the key to Walton’s success in the electronics market.

Speakers came up with the comments in a webinar titled ‘WHIL Quality Conference Season-1’ held at the Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited on Thursday.

Walton’s Quality Control Department hosted the conference on zoom app. Engineer Golam Murshed, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, inaugurated the conference as chief guest.

Speakers shared scores of guidelines including quality control and assurance methods for each product, service management system, service development and customer satisfaction issues.

Among the speakers at the conference were Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited Deputy Managing Directors Nazrul Islam Sarker, Eva Rezwana, Amdadul Haque Sarker, Humayun Kabir, Alamgir Alam Sarkar and Walton Plaza Trade’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Rayhan.
