Multilingual magazine  ‘The Archer’ launched

The first ever multilingual magazine "The Archer" has launched journey in a bid to bring literary works of all languages under a single umbrella and create heterogeneous cultural fraternity.

Kamal Chowdhury, poet and Chief Coordinator of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee, and Selina Hossain, eminent writer, graced the inaugural ceremony with presence on Sunday.

Dhaka University Prof Dr Masuduzzaman helmed the magazine as Editor-in-Chief while Islamic University former VC Prof Dr Rashid Askari as Editor. Executive Editor is Anna Maria Stepien, Associate Editor Sikandar Ali, Assistant Editor Mainul Islam Manik.

The monthly magazine is a digital one equipped with flipbook technology. Paged 208, the inaugural issue contains the works of 51 writers from 35 countries in the world. It bears 43 poems, five short stories, one memoir and two essays with English translated version each.
