ABM Azad new BPC chairman

ABM Azad has been appointed as the new chairman of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular signed by its Deputy Secretary Muhammad Abdul Latif on Tuesday in this regard.

Azad, who had been serving as the divisional commissioner of Chattogram (additional secretary), has been promoted to secretary before being made the chairman of BPC, a state organisation responsible for supervising, coordinating and controlling all the activities relating to import, store, marketing and distribution of petroleum products in the country.

He is replacing Md Abu Bakr Siddique, who has been transferred to the Bridges Division as its secretary, as the BPC chairman.
