Arambagh upset Sk Jamal

The highflying Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited were stunned by a shocking 1-3 goals defeat to the bottom-placed Arambagh Krira Sangha in their 15th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital.

Sheikh Jamal Gambian forward Pa Omar Jobe gave a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute, but Arambagh Uzbe forward Islomjon Abdukadyrov restored the parity in the stoppage time of the first half.

After half time, midfielder Omar Faruq doubled the margin for Arambagh in the 54th minute while another forward Nihat Zaman Ucchash sealed the fate of the game in the 57th minute.

Despite tasting their maiden win in the BPL, Arambagh retained at the bottom 13th with five points from one win, 2 draws and 13 defeats while Sheikh Jamal remained 3rd with their previous 32 points from 9 wins, 5 draws and one defeat.
