The Tale Of Jamdani

(1) A handloom worker is seen busy weaving traditional Jamdani sari at a workshop at Rupganj in Narayanganj on the outskirts of the capital. (2) With the Eid-ul-Fitr getting closer, buyers look at Jamdani saris, priced between Tk 3,000 and
Tk 20,000, at the weekly wholesale market at Noapara Jamdani Palli under Tarabo upazila. (3) A wholesaler shows pairs of Jamdani, stitched in red and green thread, to customers at the wholesale market. The photos were taken on Friday.
